Evli Bireylerin Çatışma Çözüm Stilleri, Bağlanma Stilleri ve Evlilik Rol Beklentileri Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, evli bireylerin çatışma çözüm stilleri, bağlanma stilleri ve evlilik rol beklentileri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmaya Konya’da yaşayan 85’i (% 56,7) kadın ve 65’i (% 43,3) erkek olmak üzere toplam 150 evli birey katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Romantik İlişkilerde Çatışma Çözüm Stilleri Ölçeği, İlişki Ölçekleri Anketi, Evlilik Rol Beklentileri Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Veri analizleri için SPSS 22.0 programı kullanılmış olup gruplar arası farklılığı belirlemek için ‘t-testi’, evli bireylerin çatışma çözüm stilleri, bağlanma stilleri ve evlilik rol beklentileri arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek için korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Çatışma çözüm stillerinin; bağlanma stilleri ve evlilik rol beklentilerini yordayıcı etkileri aşamalı regresyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları incelendiğinde; saplantılı ve kayıtsız bağlanma stillerinin olumsuz çatışma çözme stilinin anlamlı yordayıcıları olduğu, korkulu ve güvenli bağlanma stillerinin ise katkısının anlamlı olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Saplantılı ve kayıtsız bağlanma stilleri olumsuz çatışma çözme stili puanlarında gözlenen toplam varyansın %15.8’ini açıklamaktadır. Bir diğer sonuca göre eşitlikçi ve geleneksel rol beklentilerinin olumlu çatışma çözme stilinin anlamlı yordayıcıları olduğu görülmüş ve toplam varyansın %16.6’sını açıkladığı bulunmuştur. Çatışma çözüm stilleri alt boyutlarından olumlu çatışma çözme stili ve evlilik rol beklentileri düzeylerinde cinsiyet açısından anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Evli bireylerin evlilik rol beklentileri düzeylerinde evlenme şekilleri açısından anlamlı farklılıklar saptanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular literatür bağlamında tartışılmış ve gelecek çalışmalar için önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Investigation of the Relationship Between Conflict Resolution Styles, Attachment Abstract Styles and Marriage Role Expectations of Married Individuals

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between conflict resolution styles, attachment styles and marital role expectations of married individuals. For this purpose, a total of 150 married individuals, 85 (56.7%) women and 65 (43.3%) men, living in Konya participated in the study. Conflict Resolution Styles in Romantic Relationships Scale, Relationship Scales Questionnaire, Marriage Role Expectations Scale and Personal Information Form were used as data collection tools in the research. SPSS 22.0 program was used for data analysis and 't-test' was used to determine the difference between groups and correlation analysis was used to determine the relationships between conflict resolution styles, attachment styles and marital role expectations of married individuals. Conflict resolution styles; The predictive effects of attachment styles and marital role expectations were analyzed by stepwise regression analysis. When the results of the research are examined; It was determined that preoccupied and dismissive attachment styles were significant predictors of negative conflict resolution style, while the contribution of fearful and secure attachment styles was not significant. Preoccupied and dismissive attachment styles explain 15.8% of the total variance observed in negative conflict resolution style scores. According to another result, egalitarian and traditional role expectations were found to be significant predictors of positive conflict resolution style and explained 16.6% of the total variance. There were significant gender differences in the levels of positive conflict resolution style and marital role expectations, which are sub-dimensions of conflict resolution styles. Significant differences were found in the level of marriage role expectations of married individuals in terms of their way of marriage. The findings obtained as a result of the research were discussed in the context of the literature and suggestions were made for future studies.
