MÖ 1. binde cam kase üretimi

Öz

Cam bir kap formu olarak karşımıza çıkmadan önce pişmiş
toprak kapların üzerinde sırlaşmış bir madde olarak görülmekteydi. MÖ 3.
binlerin ortalarından sonra ise renkli boncuklar şeklinde cam sanatında yerini
almıştır. MÖ 2. binin ilk yarısından itibaren ise cam yapımı ve işlemesinin
önemli bir sanat dalı olduğunu ele geçen yazıtlar doğrultusunda anlamaktayız.
Camın kase biçimini alması ise MÖ 15. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından sonra
gerçekleşmiş ve bu tarihten sonra cam oldukça kontrollü ve düzenli bir
endüstrinin parçası olarak günümüze değin varlığını sürdürmüştür. Bu zaman
diliminde sığ, derin formlarda bezemeli veya bezemesiz gibi farklı biçimlerde
karşımıza çıkmıştır. Ancak özellikle MÖ7. ve 4. yüzyıllar arasında, çok özel
bir kimliğe bürünerek, renksiz camdan, süsleme olarak da tipik taç yaprak,
badem motifleri ile tanınan farklı bir anlam kazanmıştır.
