Öz
Gebelikte kazanılan ağırlık hem gebeliğin normal seyri ve hem de bebeğin gelişimi için önemlidir. Yeterli ağırlık kazanımı gebelik süresince önerilen düzeylerde enerji, makro ve mikro besin öğelerinin alımı ile mümkündür. Enerji ve besin öğelerinin yeterli düzeylerde alınması olumlu sağlık etkileri oluştururken, yetersiz alınması anne ve bebeğin sağlığını olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu derlemede gebelikte tüketilen bazı besin öğelerinin bebek sağlığı üzerine etkileri irdelenmiştir.

Öz
Weight gain during pregnancy is important for both the normal course of pregnancy and development of the baby. Adequate weight gain during pregnancy is possible with the ingestion of energy, macro and micro nutrients at recommended amounts. While sufficient consumption of energy and nutrients creates positive health effects, insufficient consumptions affect negatively both mother’s and the baby's health. It this review the effects of nutrients consumed during pregnancy on infant’s health were outlined.
