Öz

Engelli kadınların cinsiyete özgü ve engelliliğe ilişkin zorlukları üreme sağlığını olumsuz etkilemekte ve çoğu zaman engelli kadınların üreme sağlığı ihtiyaçları göz ardı edilmektedir. Literatürde engelli kadınların gebelik, doğum, kontrasepsiyon, jinekolojik infeksiyonlar ve kanserler ile ilgili danışmanlığa ihtiyaç duydukları belirtilmektedir. Hemşireler tarafından engelli kadınların üreme sağlığını geliştirmek üzere hazırlanan ve uygulanan destek programı, üreme sağlığı risklerini ortadan kaldıracaktır. Bu derlemenin amacı ortopedik engelli kadınların üreme sağlığını geliştirmede Sağlık İnanç Modeli’nin örnek kullanımının sunulmasıdır.

Improving the Reproductive Health of Women with Orthopedic Disabilities: The Case of a Nursing Support Program

Öz

The drawbacks regarding women’s gender and disabilities have negative effects on the reproductive health of women with a disability. Most of the time, the reproductive health needs of women with disabilities are ignored. Disabled women have been reported to need counseling on pregnancy, birth, contraception, gynecologic infections, and cancers. The structured support programs for reproductive health will overcome the potential risks of reproductive health for women. The purpose of this review is to present the exemplary use of the health belief model[PE1] for improving the reproductive health of women with orthopedic disabilities.
