Yayınlanan dergilerin ise 121 makale ile Gifted Child Quarterly, 76 makale Journal For The Education of The Gited, 45 makale ile Roeper Review A Journal On Gifted Education dergileri arasında yer almaktadır.

The identification of gifted and talented people and the necessity of their education after diagnosis are among the most discussed issues, and the approaches during their diagnosis also differ. Based on this reason, it is aimed to systematically examine the studies on the diagnosis of giftedness and talent in the literature. In the research, scanning model from descriptive methods was used and bibliometric analysis technique was applied. Research themes were searched in the web of science database using the words gifted/talented and diagnostic. A bibliometric analysis of 819 academic studies published between 1980-2022 was carried out. In the distribution by web of science categories, it was determined that there are Education Special with 359 articles, Psychology Educational with 228 articles, and Education Educational Research with 122 articles. Among the published journals are Gifted Child Quarterly with 121 articles, Journal For The Education Of The Gited with 76 articles, and Roeper Review A Journal On Gifted Education with 45 articles. The most used keywords are “gifted”, “identification”, “giftedness” and “talent identification” concepts. With this research, it is thought that the studies in the literature on the diagnosis of the gifted and talented will contribute to the field and provide a perspective on the represented subject for the researchers. Comparisons can be made by conducting similar studies in international databases such as SCOPUS or national databases such as ULAKBİM and Dergipark, apart from the WoS database.
