THE EFFECTS OF LEADER-MEMBER EXCHANGE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR

Öz

The aim of study is to investigate the mediating
effect of organizational citizenship behavior on the relationship between
leader-member exchange and job performance. For this purpose, a questionnaire
was applied to 377 teachers. In the research, correlation analysis was used to
measure the relationship between variables, regression analysis was used to
measure the causality and hierarchical regression analysis was used to measure
the mediating role. Analyses were performed with SPSS 20. According to the
findings of the research, there is a positive nad significant there is a
positive and significant relationship between leader-member exchange and job performance.
Moreover, it is found that organizational citizenship behavior significantly
and positively effects on the job performance. It is also emphasized that organizational
citizenship behavior has partial mediating effect on the relationship between leader-member
exchange and job performance.

LİDER-ÜYE ETKİLEŞİMİNİN ÇALIŞAN PERFORMANSI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNDE ÖRGÜTSEL VATANDAŞLIK DAVRANIŞININ ARACILIK ROLÜ

Öz

Çalışmanın
amacı lider-üye etkileşiminin çalışan performansına etkisinde örgütsel
vatandaşlık davranışının aracılık etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç kapsamında
377 öğretmen üzerinde anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada değişkenler
arasındaki ilişkiyi ölçmek için korelasyon analizi, nedenselliği ölçmek için
regresyon analizi ve aracılık rolünü ölçmek için ise hiyerarşik regresyon
analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Analizler SPSS 20.0 analiz programı ile
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre lider-üye etkileşimi ile
çalışan performansı arasında pozitif ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.
Ayrıca örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışının da çalışan performansını pozitif ve
anlamlı etkilediği bulunmuştur. Ayrıca lider-üye etkileşiminin çalışan
performansıyla ilişkisinde örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışının kısmi aracılık etkisinin
olduğu vurgulanmaktadır.
