Propolisin Bileşenlerinden Olan Kafeik Asit Fenil Esterin Antiinflamatuvar Etkileri

Year 2019, Volume: 11 Issue: 2, 43 - 47, 31.12.2019

Abstract

Antiinflammatory Effects Of Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester, One Of The Components Of Propolis

Year 2019, Volume: 11 Issue: 2, 43 - 47, 31.12.2019

Abstract

Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) is an important active ingredient of honey bee propolis, which contains abundant biological activity. Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) has recently received great attention due to its therapeutic potential in a variety of diseases including inflammation and cancer. In this study, antiinflammatory effects of caffeic acid phenyl ester, one of the important components of propolis, were investigated and it was reported that CAPE has antiinflammatory properties including inhibition of some enzyme activities such as xanthine oxidase, cyclooxygenase and nuclear factor - κB (NF - κB) activation.
