Necrotizing Fasciit Associated with Naltrexone Implant- First Case Report

Abstract

Necrotizing fasciit (NF) is an infrequent, life- threatening bacterial infection characterized by quickly progressive inflammation and necrosis of the skin, subcutaneous tissue and superficial fascia. Even though there are many defined ethiolojical factors that can predispose patients to NF, there is limited information on literature about the cases with NF that assosiated naltrexone implants. So, we

presented a 26 year old, opioid dependent male patient with NF after a treatment by means of naltexone implant for 3 times.

Naltrekson İmplantına Bağlı Gelişen Nekrotizan Fasiit- İlk Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Nekrotizan fasiit (NF) cilt, cilt altı dokular ve yüzeyel fasyanın hızlı ilerleyen enflamasyon ve nekrozu ile karakterize, nadir görülen ve hayatı tehdit eden bakteriyel bir enfeksiyondur. NF’e neden olan çok sayıda tanımlanmış etyolojik faktör olmasına rağmen, literatürde Naltrekson implantları ile ilişkili NF hakkında kısıtlı bilgi mevcuttur.

Biz de üç kez Naltrekson implantı uygulanan 26 yaşındaki opioid bağımlısı, erkek NF vakasını literatür eşliğinde sunmayı amaçladık.
