Democracy and Province

Abstract

This article deals with “province” as a subject problematized in terms of radical democratic theory. The legitimacy crisis produced by capitalist state and classical liberal theory and deepened with globalization constitutes the basis issue of radical democratic arguments. In this context, constructing a new space of resistance gains importance through politicizing the case of being excluded from the design of legitimacy. The article points to the potentialities of “province” both as a space of exclusion and a space of resistance.
