At the Limits of Law and Morality: The Conjoined Twins

Surgical seperation of conjoined twins poses substantial legal and moral problems. At a general level, it may be said that legal issues concerning the basic conceptions such as the right to life, parental rights, legal interests of children, are closely related with the moral issues, such as human dignity and the value of life. But the case of conjoined twins adds this schema the legality and morality of killing one to save the other.
