Öz
The purpose of this paper is to explore the effective factors of entrepreneurship tendency on university students and young people who graduated from university within 10 years. It aims to understand the effective factors to be an entrepreneur and make a recommendation about the needed environment in universities to increase entrepreneurial individuals.
The research method is based on qualitative by the in-depth interviews with 13 entrepreneurs and quantitative analysis that tested with an online survey by 303 participants.
The results of this study was observed that demographic factors were less effective than the socio-cultural factors in entrepreneurship tendency. It was concluded that individuals with more social opportunities have the intention of becoming more entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurship training has been rapidly spreading with Entrepreneurship take place in the 10th Development Plan in Turkey. Studies in the literature have shown that people have a high entrepreneurship tendency who took entrepreneurship training. However, this study also includes individuals who did not take entrepreneurship training from different disciplines and different provinces in Turkey.
