A Votive Stele with Plouton-Kore Depiction from Pisidia and Some Remarks on the Local Cult

Abstract

The votive stele presented in this article was found in the village of Keçili on the border of the Bucak district of Burdur and is currently housed at the Burdur Museum. The Keçili village is located on the southeast foot of Kestel Dağı, in the Kilde Boğazı Mevkii between the lakes of Kestel Paludes and Anbahan. This location corresponds to southwest fringe of ancient Pisidia Fig. 1 . The site was presented to the academic world by G. E. Bean, who published the materials reused in the village cemetery. The Yanıktaş sanctuary located about 2 km. northwest of the village was identified by Özsait during his longitudinal surveys across the region and was evaluated in his publications.

Pisidia’dan Plouton-Kore Betimli Bir Adak Steli ve Yöre Kültü Hakkında Düşündürdükleri

Abstract

Makalenin konusunu oluşturan adak steli, Burdur İli, Bucak İlçesi sınırları içerisindeki Keçili Köyü’nde bulunmuş ve satın alma yoluyla Burdur Müzesi’ne kazandırılmıştır. Keçili Köyü, Kestel Dağı’nın güneydoğuya açılan eteklerinde, günümüzde kurutulmuş Kestel Paludes ile Anbahan Gölleri arasında kalan Kilde Boğazı mevkiinde yer almaktadır. Antik Pisidia coğrafyasının güneybatı kesimlerinde kalır. Çevresinde Komama ve Kremna gibi antik kentlerin yanı sıra, başta Kuşbaba yakınlarındaki Gavurini Kolbassa ve Kaynarkalesi olmak üzere, güneyde Akpınar mevkiindeki Roma yerleşimi Kretopolis? , Çomaklı yakınında Pogla, Yelten yakınında Andeda, Boğazköy yakınlarındaki Panemoteikhos ve Verbe gibi aralarında kırsal niteliklilerinde yer aldığı pek çok küçük yerleşim bulunmaktadır
