The Seasonal Distribution of Phytoplankton of Köprüçay River Riverfall Region

Abstract

In this study, estuary phytoplankton (Köprüçay River) was examined seasonally between February and October 2008. For this purpose, horizontal and vertical samples were taken from three rivers, one from the rivers and one near the sea, and one from the middle region. Dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity, pH, temperature and salinity were measured during the study. Bacillarophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, Chrosphyta, Dinophyta and Euglenaphyta species were identified. They represented the Bacillarophyta group with more taxa.

Köprüçay Nehri Nehirağzı Bölgesi Fitoplanktonunun Mevsimsel Dağılımı

Öz

Bu çalışmada nehirağzı bölgesi (Köprüçay Nehri) fitoplanktonu Şubat –Ekim 2008 arasında mevsimsel olarak incelenmiş, bu amaçla nehirağzı bölgesinden nehir ve denize yakın alanlardan 1’er ve orta bölgeden 1 olmak üzere toplam üç istasyondan yatay ve dikey örneklemeler yapılmıştır. Araştırma süresince çözünmüş oksijen, elektriksel iletkenlik, pH, sıcaklık ve tuzluluk değerleri ölçülmüştür. Bacillarophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, Chrosphyta, Dinophyta ve Euglenaphyta’ya ait türler tespit edilmiştir. Bunlardan Bacillarophyta grubu daha fazla taksonla temsil edilmiştir.
