Full Mouth Prosthetic Rehabilitation of A Patient Who Class II Division II Malocclusion

Abstract

Class II Division II malocclusions are frequently encountered in clinics. Class II anomalies are characterized by anterior positioning of the maxilla, posterior positioning of the mandible, or both. Treatment methods in adult patients are performed with orthognathic surgery together with orthodontic treatment. In patients who do not consider surgical treatment, prosthetic treatment can be considered as an alternative. A functional and aesthetic approach should be considered in order to increase the quality of life of patients in treatment. This case report describes the prosthetic treatment and its stages in improving the aesthetics, function and phonation of a female patient with skeletal Class II Division II malocclusion and posterior buccal non-occlusion who applied to our clinic.

Class II Divizyon II Malokluzyonu Olan Bir Hastanın Full Ağız Protetik Rehabilitasyonu

Abstract

Sınıf II Divizyon II malokluzyonlar ile kliniklerde sıklıkla karşılaşılmaktadır. Sınıf II anomaliler maksillanın önde konumlanması, mandibulanın geride konumlanması veya her iki durumun aynı anda görülmesi ile karakterizedir. Yetişkin hastalarda tedavi yöntemleri ortognatik cerrahi ile beraber ortodontik tedavi ile yapılmaktadır. Cerrahi tedavi düşünmeyen hastalarda ise protetik tedavi alternatif olarak düşünülebilir. Tedavide hastaların yaşam kalitesini arttırmak için fonksiyonel ve estetik bir yaklaşım düşünülmelidir. Bu olgu sunumu kliniğimize başvuran iskeletsel Sınıf II Divizyon II malokluzyona ve posterior bukkal non okluzyona sahip bir bayan hastanın estetik, fonksiyon ve fonasyonunun iyileştirilmesinde protetik tedavi ve aşamaları anlatılmaktadır.
