He graduated in Dentistry from Gazi University in 1999. In the same year, he started his PhD in the Department of Endodontics, Faculty of Dentistry at the Cumhuriyet University, Sivas, Turkiye. He received his PhD in 2004 and in 2006 he became Assistant Professor of Endodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry at the Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon, Turkiye, spending his time teaching, giving lectures and participating in the faculty practice. He was conferred on the title of Associate Professor in 2009. Since 2011 he is working in the Department of Endodontics, Faculty of Dentistry at the Akdeniz University, Antalya, Turkiye as Senior Lecturer and Professor. Dr. ER has authored over 120 scientific articles and serves as a reviewer/board member/editor to many national and international journals. He is an active member of a number of professional organizations including the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), International Association of Dental Research (IADR) and the Turkish Society of Endodontics.
Research Interest
His academic interests include clinical research on endodontic techniques and biocompatibility, regenerative endodontics and dental traumatology.

Prof. Dr. Burak Buldur completed his undergraduate and doctoral education at Sivas Cumhuriyet University, where he has been teaching pediatric dentistry since 2013. As being Professor of pediatric dentistry since 2023, he currently serves as a full-time Professor at the same university. He has held various roles, including Editor-in-Chief, Guest Editor, and editorial board member of numerous international journals. He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the international journal "Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry" and the President of the annual “International Congress of Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry (ICCPD)”, which attracts participants from over eighty countries.
Prof. Dr. Buldur was ranked 3th in the World in Pediatric Dentistry based on ScholarGPS Highly Ranked Scholars list. In 2021, Prof. Dr. Buldur was also recognized as one of the "World's Most Influential Scientists" by Stanford University, ranking in the top 2% among 7 million researchers globally for his academic and scientific contributions. He has numerous international scientific publications, is an editor and author of textbook chapters, and actively reviews for over thirty SCI-indexed journals. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Association of Pediatric Dentistry (IAPD) and the European Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (EAPD). His research interests focus on dental anxiety in children, behavior management, pediatric endodontics, regenerative endodontics, and qualitative research in dentistry.

Dr. Aleksandar Jakovljevic is an accomplished Assistant Professor and Research Associate in the Department of Pathophysiology at the Division of Oral Rehabilitation, School of Dental Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Since 2023, he has successfully led all scientific laboratories at his university. His extensive research on the etiopathogenesis and epidemiology of apical periodontitis has resulted in 50 publications in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals, accumulating 760 citations and achieving an H-index of 16. Dr. Jakovljevic is a recognized leader in his field, having received multiple prestigious awards for his scientific contributions from the Balkan Stomatological Society, as well as the French, Austrian, and European Societies of Endodontology. He is a member of the Scientific Committee for the European Society of Endodontology and has participated as a senior reviewer for the S3 Clinical Guidelines. Moreover, he has been invited to speak at the 19th and 21st ESE Biennial Congresses, among many other international conferences and educational events. During his career, he received several research grants and participated in many national and international scientific projects. Dr. Jakovljevic has penned two textbooks for students and contributed two chapters to notable international publications. He is happily married and proudly raises two children.

Prof. Dr. Diana Cerghizan, DDS, PhD Senior Consultant in Prosthodontics and General Dentistry George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș, Romania I am an Associate Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics at the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș, where I have been involved in academic teaching, clinical practice, and research since 2004. I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in 1999 and earned my PhD in Medical Sciences in 2009 with a thesis titled “Research Regarding Behavioral Factors in Oral Rehabilitation Treatment.” I became a Senior Specialist in General Dentistry in 2009 and a Senior Specialist in Prosthodontics in 2012. My clinical expertise centers on complex aesthetic and functional oral rehabilitation, integrating fixed prosthodontics, conservative dentistry, and digital workflows. My research interests include impression techniques in prosthodontics, restorative accuracy, the behavior of titanium and dental biomaterials, and CAD/CAM technologies. I have authored or co-authored over 30 ISI-indexed publications, many as principal or first author. My research is primarily translational, aiming to bridge biomaterials science and digital innovation with clinically relevant, patient-centered rehabilitation strategies. I am actively involved in academic governance and curriculum development, contributing to quality assurance and professional evaluation.
Restorative Dentistry Section Editors
Dr. Fusun Ozer is a Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Penn Dental Medicine. Prior to joining Penn Dental Medicine in 2008, Dr. Ozer was at Selcuk University Faculty of Dentistry in Turkey, where she served as Chair of Restorative Dentistry for 10 years. She completed her residency and PhD degree in Operative Dentistry at the Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1991. Dr. Ozer has a broad research background in adhesive dentistry, with specific training and expertise in research areas of material adhesion and developing more biologically stable adhesive/dentin interface. Her recent research interests focus on the effect of zeolite incorporation on the long-term antibacterial and anticariogenic properties of silver reinforced glass ionomer cements. One of her research projects also involves ZIF-8 as a pH-responsive nanoplatform for 5-fluorouracil delivery in the chemotherapy of oral squamous cell carcinoma. Dr. Ozer also conducts various company related clinical research studies. She works on several collaborative research projects with national and international researchers from different institutions and published a large number of peer-reviewed papers in the area of dental materials and particularly in Adhesive Dentistry.

Klinik tecrübe ve araştırma alanları arasında dental implantoloji, TME, maksillofasiyal travma, oral hastalıklar, cerrahi anatomi, oral patoloji, ortognatik cerrahi, oral farmakoloji, maksillofasiyal anomaliler ve kraniyomandibular düzensizlikler yer almakta olup, farklı hakemli bilimsel dergilerde ilgili konularda yayımlanmış çok sayıda bilimsel makalesi ve kitap bölümleri mevcuttur.

I started my undergraduate education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1997 and graduated in 2002. In 2003, I began my Ph.D. studies at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Dental Diseases and Treatment.
In 2009, I completed my doctoral dissertation titled “Comparison of the Effectiveness of Two Types of Lasers and Irrigation Solutions in Removing the Smear Layer from Root Canals” and obtained my Ph.D. degree. In 2011, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry.
I was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2017 and Full Professor in 2024. I continue to serve in the same university.
Prof. Ingrid Różyło-Kalinowska, MD, PhD, DSc.
Born March 16th, 1973 in Lublin, Poland.
Prof. Ingrid Różyło-Kalinowska is the Head of the Department of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiodiagnostics of the Medical University of Lublin. In the years 2020-24 she served as the vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medical Dentistry of this University, and member of the Senate of the University. She is specialist in radiology and diagnostic imaging.
Scientific work of Ingrid Różyło-Kalinowska includes over 350 full papers and over 350 conference contributions. She is supervisor of 16 completed PhD theses, 1 on-going PhD process as well as of 11 MSc dissertations. She was reviewer of 28 PhD theses, including candidates from Belgium, Brazil and Denmark.
She completed 12 training periods abroad (Chile, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Jordan, Romania, Spain, Turkey, UK) including Erasmus Plus program.
Her didactic work includes dental radiography and radiology, maxillofacial radiology, medical radiology and diagnostic imaging, she was a lecturer at numerous international courses and workshops on dentomaxillofacial radiology as well as invited speaker (e.g. FDI World Dental Congress Istanbul 2024, Turkey, San Francisco USA, 2019, FDI Regional Congress, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 2025, Digital Dental Society/IADMFR Congress in Venice, Italy, 2025, ICDMFR Kaoshiung, Taiwan 2017). She delivers webinars in Polish, in English (eg. FDI Oral Health Campus “Benefits and limitations of Cone-Beam Computed Tomography in Clinical Practice”, Indonesia, Turkey) as well as in Spanish (Chile, South America).
She is the Regional Director of International Association of Dentomaxillofacial in Europe, Central Board Member of the Polish Dental Association, the vice-Chairman and former Chairman of the Section of DentoMaxillofacial Radiology of the Polish Medical Society of Radiology. She is Honorary Member of the Oral Diagnosis and Maxillofacial Radiology Society in Turkey.
She is the Past President of the European Academy of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology and member of the Junior Committee of the EADMFR. She hosted the 3rd Junior Meeting of the EADMFR in Lublin, Poland, in 2016 and the 18th European Congress of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology in 2022. She is a member of the ERO-FDI Working Group Digitalisation in Dentistry - e-Health-Artificial Intelligence.
In the years 2018-2026 she was the Editor-in-Chief of the “Journal of Stomatology”, the official journal of the Polish Dental Association. She belongs to the editorial boards of several scientific journals including “Dentomaxillofacial Radiology” and serves as a reviewer of numerous manuscripts submitted to international scientific journal.
She is author of the book “Imaging Techniques in Dental Radiology” (Springer, 2020), co-editor and co-author the books “Advances in Dentomaxillofacial Imaging and Treatment Planning” (Czelej, 2026), “Temporomandibular Joint Imaging” (Springer, 2018), co-author of the books: “Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry” (Springer, 2024), “Atlas of Cone-Beam Computed Tomography” (Wiley, 2022), “Atlas of Dentomaxillofacial Anatomical Imaging” (Springer 2022), “Ultrasonography in Dentomaxillofacial Diagnostics” (Springer, 2021), “Essentials of Dental Medicine” (Naklada Slap, Croatia, 2021). She is co-author of 5 dentomaxillofacial radiology textbooks in Polish, chapters on dentomaxillofacial radiology in 7 Polish textbooks. She translated 8 medical textbooks (including 3 on dental as well as head and neck radiology) from English or German to Polish.
Prof. Dr. Umut Aksoy was born in Ankara in 1984. He graduated from Adana ÇEAŞ Seyhan Anatolian High School in 2002 and completed his dental education at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2007. He began his doctoral studies in the Department of Endodontics at the Institute of Health Sciences, Near East University, and received his PhD degree in 2012 with his thesis titled “In vitro investigation of calcium and hydroxyl ion diffusion from mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and bioaggregate through dentinal tubules to the root surface.”
Prof. Aksoy started his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Near East University Faculty of Dentistry in 2013. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018 and to Full Professor in 2024.
Throughout his academic career, Prof. Aksoy has undertaken various administrative roles. He served as Vice Director of the Institute of Health Sciences between 2020 and 2021, and as Vice Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies between 2021 and 2024. He has also held positions such as Head of the Department, Faculty Board Member, and member of the Education Commission at the Faculty of Dentistry. Since 2023, he has been serving as a Board Member of the Quality and Accreditation Coordinatorship. As of 2024, he has been appointed as Vice Rector of Near East University. He currently also serves as the Chair of the Ethics Committee at Near East University.
Prof. Aksoy has numerous publications in national and international indexed journals. His research interests include endodontic treatment and techniques, apical periodontitis, endodontic pharmacology, systemic associations of dental diseases, root canal anatomy, endodontic radiology, and artificial intelligence applications in dentistry. He has supervised several doctoral theses and has presented his work at various international scientific meetings.
In addition to his academic work, he is a member of several professional organizations, including the European Society of Endodontology, the European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology, and the Turkish Endodontic Society. He has received multiple research and publication awards throughout his academic career.
He is married and has one child.

I am Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences since 2018. Also I am member of the Research Council of the Dental and Periodontal Research Center and the Research Council of Tabriz Faculty of Dentistry and assistant Editor of Journal of Dental Research Dental Clinics Dental Prospects.
Dr. Naida Hadziabdic, born Sulejmanagic (DDS, MS, PhD), completed her dental education at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2001. Immediately following graduation, she embarked on her academic career as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Oral Surgery and Dental Implantology, Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Sarajevo.
In 2005, she successfully defended her Master's thesis, titled "Influence of Oral Anticoagulants on Oral Surgical Procedures," marking the culmination of her postgraduate studies. Concurrently, she obtained a specialization in oral surgery later that year. Dr. Hadziabdic furthered her academic pursuits and, in 2013, earned her doctoral degree, presenting her thesis titled "Expression and Clinical Significance of MMP-1 and MMP-2 and Their Tissue Inhibitors TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 in Periapical Inflammatory Lesions."
Recognized for her scholarly achievements, she was appointed Assistant Professor in 2015, followed by promotion to Associate Professor in Oral Surgery and Dental Implantology in 2019. Dr. Hadziabdic's instructional responsibilities at the Faculty of Dental Medicine encompass courses in Oral Surgery, Local Anesthesia, Dental Emergencies, Dental Radiology, and Dental Treatment for Patients with Special Needs.
From 2016 to September 2023, Dr. Hadziabdic served as the Head of the Department of Oral Surgery Clinic. In addition to her academic commitments, she dedicates part of her time to clinical practice at the family-owned private dental practice "Sulejmanagic," where she collaborates with her father and brother. Her professional interests primarily lie in regenerative oral surgery procedures utilizing PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin), ALB-PRF, and sticky bone techniques.
Dr. Hadziabdic's scholarly contributions extend beyond the classroom and clinic, with 44 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 46 conference proceedings. Together with a group of authors, she contributed to the publication of four books, including "Oral Pathology: Gene Expression in Odontogenic Cysts" in the book "Gene Expression and Control" (2019) and "The Basics of Splinting in Dentoalveolar Traumatology" in "Maxillofacial Surgery and Craniofacial Deformity: Practices and Updates" (2020). Additionally, Dr. Hadziabdic authored a chapter titled "PRF and Sticky Bone as Regenerative Materials in Oral Surgery" in the book "Craniofacial Surgery-Recent Advances, New Perspectives and Applications" (2022) published by IntechOpen. She also contributed to the book "Tumors-Application of Molecular Genetics, Genomics, Diagnosis, and Targeted Therapy in Hemato-oncology," edited by Prof. Dr. Amina Kozarić and co-authored by other experts in the field.
I am Kinga Mária Jánosi, DDS, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș.
My academic career, initiated in 2007, has developed within the field of prosthodontics, encompassing both teaching and clinical training in fixed prosthodontics, minimally invasive approaches, implant-prosthetics, and digital dentistry. I am actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, as well as in the supervision of students and residents.
I obtained my DDS degree in 2006 and my PhD in Medical Sciences in 2013, and I have been a primary care prosthodontist since 2024. My research focuses on contemporary prosthodontics, particularly adhesive techniques, minimally invasive and implant-prosthetic treatment concepts, and digital workflows.
I have authored and co-authored numerous publications in ISI- and BDI-indexed journals, contributed to academic books, and actively participated in research projects and international academic collaborations.
