Announcement: Dear authors, in order to ensure a more efficient double-blind peer review process in our journal, we have updated our article submission guidelines. As part of this update, the article template has been revised, and author information should no longer be included in the article file. Author name, institutional information, ORCID, email, and statements related to the article must now be uploaded to the system via a separate “Title Page” file. You can access the template and title page files from our “Sample Article Template” (March 2026).
 

Journal of Mother Tongue Education is an international peer-reviewed journal. It is published quarterly: Winter/January, Spring/April, Summer/July and Fall/October. Publication language of the journal is Turkish and English.

Journal of Mother Tongue Education aims to announce the scientific studies related to the education of Turkish as a mother tongue to a wide audience, especially researchers and educators.

The scope of the Journal of Mother Tongue Education consists of the following subject areas: Listening education, speaking education, reading education, writing education and grammar teaching. 

The journal includes original research articles with qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods, and review articles that cover the literature in a comprehensive manner.

APA 7 referencing system is used in our journal.
