Edirne Kent Ormanının Rekreasyon Değerinin Seyahat Maliyeti Yöntemi ile Belirlenmesi

Öz

Günümüzde rekreasyon değerine sahip olan milli parklar, kent ormanları gibi doğal alanların sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması için çeşitli yöntemler doğrultusunda planlama çalışmaları geliştirilmektedir. Bu planlamalar ve yönetim modelleri alanın niteliğine, sağlayacağı ekonomik değere ve kullanıcı kitlesine göre oluşturulmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile Edirne Kent Ormanı’ndan rekreasyon ve turizm açısından elde edilecek ekonomik değerin belirlenmesi ve ortaya çıkacak ekonomik katkının gelecekte yapılacak yatırımlar için temel oluşturması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda doğal alanların ekonomik değerini belirlemek için kullanılan yöntemlerden Bireysel Seyahat Maliyet Yöntemi seçilmiş olup, kullanıcıların demografik bilgileri ve ziyaret alışkanlıkları yapılan anket ile değerlendirilmiştir. Veriler negatif binom regresyonu ile analiz edilmiş ve Edirne Kent Ormanı için kişi başı tüketici rantı 100 TL olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda kent ormanının Edirne’ye ve ülke ekonomisine katkısı göz önüne alınarak devamlılığını sağlamak üzere öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Determining the Recreation Value of Edirne Urban Forest by Travel Cost Method

Öz

Nowadays, planning studies are developed in line with various methods to ensure the sustainability of natural areas such as national parks and urban forests that have recreational value. These plans and management models are created according to the nature of the area, the economic value it will provide and the user group. With this study, it is aimed to determine the economic value to be obtained from the Edirne Urban Forest in terms of recreation and tourism and to make the economic contribution to be a basis for future investments. Accordingly, Individual Travel Cost Method was chosen among the methods used to determine the economic value of natural areas, and the demographic information and visiting habits of the users were evaluated with a survey. The data were analyzed by negative binomial regression and the per capita consumer surplus for Edirne Urban Forest was determined as 100 TL. As a result of the study, suggestions were developed to ensure sustainability, considering the contribution of the urban forest to Edirne and Turkish economy.
