The effect of adequacy of medical data in disability rate determination procedures before and after incidents: Case report

Abstract

Forensic medicine specialists may encounter a variety of problems in determining disability rates, including incomplete medical documents and the death of people involved. It is also pertinent to know whether the person whose disability rate is in question had previous injuries in the same part of the body before the current incident. The most important data guiding the physician in this regard are medical documents with the date of the event. In cases with bone fracture, it is absolutely essential to examine radiological records with the date of the event. The phenomenon we review is a young man who sustained a left radius distal end fracture and was involved in a traffic accident one month later while being treated with an external fixator. In this accident, a fracture occurred in the middle diaphysis of the same bone. His relevant medical documents and the radiological images with the date of the incident were examined, and the situation was taken into account while calculating the disability. The difference in disability caused by the fracture in the middle diaphyseal part of the bone and the distal end old fracture related to the interior of the joint were kept separate.

Maluliyet oranı tespiti işlemlerinde olay öncesi ve sonrası tıbbi verilerin yeterliliğinin etkisi: Olgu sunumu

Abstract

Adli Tıp Uzmanları maluliyet oranı tespitinde farklı sorunlarla karşılaşabilmektedir. Tıbbi evrakın tam olmaması, kişilerin vefat etmiş olması bunlardan bazılarıdır. Maluliyet oranı sorulan kişinin dava konusu olaydan önce aynı vücut bölgesinde eski yaralanmaya sahip olması da önemli bir sorundur. Bu konuda hekime yol gösterecek en önemli veriler olay tarihli tıbbi belgelerdir. Kemik kırığı söz konusu olan olgularda olay tarihli radyolojik tetkiklerin incelenmesi mutlak önem arz etmektedir. Ele aldığımız olgu; sol radius distal uç kırığı olan, eksternal fiksatör ile tedavi aşamasındayken 1 ay sonra dava konusu trafik kazasına maruz kalan ve bu kazada aynı kemiğin orta diafizinde kırık meydana gelen genç bir erkektir. Kişiye ait tıbbi belgeler ile olay tarihli radyolojik tetkik görüntüleri incelenmiş ve maluliyet hesabı yapılırken bu durum göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. Kemiğin orta diafizer kısmında meydana gelen kırık ile eklem içini ilgilendiren distal uç eski kırığın yaratacağı maluliyet farkı birbirinden ayrı tutulmuştur.
