Obstetrikte ve Jinekolojide Ultrason Kullanımından Kaynaklanan Adli Tıp Sorunları

Abstract

Ultrason olarak da bilinen tanısal sonografi obstetrik ve jinekoloji uygulamasında değerli bir yöntem haline gelmiştir. Bu aygıtın kullanımındaki hızlı gelişimler, bu hastaların bakımında sonolog ve sonografinin primer bir rol almasına neden olmuştur. Hasta ve hekimin beklentisi teknolojik ilerlemelerle birlikte artmıştır. Bu tür beklentiler malpraktis iddialarının sıklığında artışa yol açmıştır. Obstetrik ultrason alanındaki davaların en büyük bölümü tanının atlanması ile ilgilidir. Ultrasonda en sık atlandığı bildirilen tanılar arasında dış gebelik, fetal anomaliler, çoğul gebelikler ve plasenta previa yer almaktadır. Sonogramın yapılmaması bir başka dava nedenidir. Bu yazıda yazarlar obstetrikte ve jinekolojide sonografiyle ilgili adli tıp sorunlarını ve bu tür sorunlardan nasıl kaçınılacağını ele almışlardır.
