Use of Laser in Restorative Dentistry

Öz

Lasers have been used in dentistry to perform many procedures in diagnosis, restorative procedures, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, surgical operations, treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, periodontal treatment, orthodontics and implant surgery. In restorative dentistry, lasers are used to assist the conventional methods in procedures such as caries diagnosis and in aesthetic operations. It is important to select the correct laser type and if used correctly, lasers provide many advantages to patients and dentists, and they increase the success rate significantly when used together with conventional methods. The aim of this review is to provide information on the usage of lasers in restorative dentistry

Restoratif Diş Hekimliğinde Lazer Kullanımı

Öz

Günümüzde lazerler; teşhis, restoratif işlemler, endodonti, pedodonti, cerrahi işlemler, temporomandibular eklem tedavisi, periodontal tedaviler, ortodonti, implant cerrahisi gibi, diş hekimliğinin çeşitli alanlarında kullanılmaktadır. Restoratif diş hekimliğinde ise lazerler çürük teşhisi ve estetik işlemler gibi birçok işlemde geleneksel yöntemlere yardımcı cihazlar olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu işlemler esnasında lazer seçiminin doğru yapılması çok önemlidir. Uygun şekilde kullanıldığında hastalara ve hekimlere pek çok avantaj sağlayan lazerler geleneksel yöntemlerle birlikte kullanıldığında başarı oranını belirgin şekilde artıran cihazlardır. Bu derlemenin amacı lazerlerin restoratif diş hekimliğinde kullanım alanları konusunda bilgi vermektir
