Merkezi Sistem Ortak Sınav Fen Bilimleri Sorularının Webb’in Bilgi Derinliği Seviyelerine Göre Analizi

Abstract

Ülkemizde ilk ve orta dereceli okulların yeniden yapılandırılmasıyla son olarak uygulamaya geçilen 4+4+4 sistemiyle beraber, orta öğretime geçiş sistemi de değişikliğe uğramış ve “Temel Eğitimden Ortaöğretime Geçiş Sistemi” (TEOG) adını almıştır. Bu çalışmada, uygulamaya yeni geçirilen “Merkezi Sistem Ortak Sınav”ında (MSOS) yer alan Fen Bilimleri sorularının dersin kazanımlarıyla örtüşme durumlarının belirlenmesi ve bu soruların Webb (2009) tarafından geliştirilen “Bilginin Derinliği Seviyeleri (BDS)’ne göre analizinin yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, 2013-2014 öğretim yılına ait MSOS 8. Sınıf I. Dönem Fen Bilimleri Dersi soruları doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiş; soruların kazanımlara göre frekans ve yüzdelik dağılımları oluşturulmuştur. Ayrıca ilgili sınav soruları arasından seçilen 4 soru Adıyaman’da görev yapan 33 Fen ve Teknoloji öğretmenine sunulmuş ve bu sorularla ilgili yapılandırılmış mülakat formu yoluyla görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, soruların Webb’in BDS’sine göre, Seviye 1 ve Seviye 2 basamaklarında yoğunlaştığı; daha üst biliş becerilerini ölçen Seviye 3 sorularına daha az yer verildiği belirlenmiştir. Mülakat formundan elde edilen verilerin analizinde de bu sonucu destekleyici nitelikte bulgulara ulaşılmıştır. MEB tarafından amaçlanan üst düzey becerilerin sınav yoluyla ölçülmesi hedefine ulaşılması noktasında BDS’nin temel alınmasının daha uygun olabileceği düşünülmektedir.

Analysis of Science Questions used in Central System Common Exam According to Webb’s Dok Levels

Abstract

In our country, along with the restructuring of primary and secondary school system (4+4+4), transition system to high schools was also modified and called “Transition System from Basic Education to Secondary”. In this study, it was aimed to analyze science questions used in 8thgraders’ Central System Common Exam (CSCE) in 2013-2014 school year in terms of overlaping with the gains of the course and Webb’s dok levels. The questions were firstly analyzed through qualitative document analyses method and determined frequencies and percent values of the questions according to the gains of the course. Moreover, a structured interview form containing four questions selected from within the science test of CSCE were given to 33 Science and Technology Teachers working in Adiyaman and asked them to write thinking about suitability of the questions. According to the findings, the science questions intensely situated at the lower levels (level 1 and 2) of Webb’s Dok Levels. Additionaly, analysis of the data obtained from structured interviews supported these findings. As a result, taking into account the Webb’s Dok Levels could be more suitable to achieve the purpose of measuring high level skills in CSCE
