KURGUSAL EVRENDE SOSYAL ETKİLEŞİM VE SANAL KAYGI

Öz

Günümüzde baş döndüren hızla ilerleyen teknolojilerin uygulamalarına uyum sağlamak sadece yetişkin ve yaşlıları değil, gençleri bile şaşkınlığa uğratmaktadır. Bu dönüşüm ve gelişim, içinde bulunduğumuz yüzyılın teknik ve teknolojik imkânlarının sunduğu yeni araçlarla yaşamanı bambaşka bir hale dönüştürmektedir. Özellikle sosyal hayatımızı göreceli olarak zenginleştiren ve fiziksel bir mekâna ihtiyaç duyulmadan meydana gelen etkileşimlere bir yenisi daha eklendi: Metaverse. Tüm zamanların vazgeçilmez etkileşim biçimi olan sosyalleşmenin fiziki mekândan bağımsız gerçeklemeye başladığı 21. yüzyılın, bu bağlamda yeni gelişmelere gebe olduğunu bilinmekteydi. Fakat sanal dünya ile aralanan kapı, üç boyutlu gerçekliği artırılmış kurgusal çevrimiçi ortamların ortaya çıkmasıyla yeni bir boyut kazanmıştır. Bu araştırma, yaşamı kolaylaştırma amacıyla gelişen bu öncü teknolojilerin, sosyal hayatta yansımalarını ve kaygı düzeylerini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla farklı demografik özelliklere sahip 15 kişi ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler kategori kod ve temalara ayrılarak çözümlenmiştir. Çözümle sonucunda teknolojik gelişme, bilişim ağının kullanım yaygınlığı, uzaktan erişim, ağların gelişimi, kurgusal evren, sanal ekonomi, sanal kaygı başlıkları altında 7 tema oluşturulmuştur. Yapılan görüşmelerde bilinmezliğin neden olduğu kaygı, sosyolojik düzeyde tartışılmış ve çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

SOCIAL INTERACTION AND VIRTUAL ANXIETY IN A FICTIONAL UNIVERSE

Öz

Adapting to the applications of technologies that are advancing at a dizzying pace today surprises not only adults and the elderly, but even young people. This transformation and development transforms life into a completely different state with the new tools offered by the technical and technological possibilities of the century we are in. In particular, a new one has been added to the interactions that relatively enrich our social life and occur without the need for a physical space: Metaverse. It was known that the 21st century, when socialization, the indispensable form of interaction of all times, began to take place independently of physical space, was pregnant with new developments in this context. However, the door opened with the virtual world has gained a new dimension with the emergence of fictional online environments with increased three-dimensional reality. This research aims to analyze the reflections of these pioneering technologies, which are developed to make life easier, in social life and their anxiety levels. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with 15 people with different demographic characteristics. The obtained data were analyzed by dividing them into categories, codes and themes. As a result of the analysis, 7 themes were created under the titles of technological development, prevalence of use of information networks, remote access, development of networks, fictional universe, virtual economy, virtual anxiety. During the interviews, the anxiety caused by the unknown was discussed at a sociological level and various suggestions were made.
