AİLEDE İÇSEL BİR MÜCADELE: EBEVEYN SUÇLULUĞUNUN DEMOGRAFİK DEĞİŞKENLERE GÖRE İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı okul öncesi dönem çocuğu olan ailelerde ebeveyn suçluluk düzeylerinin demografik değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu 48-72 aylık çocuğu okul öncesi kuruma devam eden 377 anne ve babadan oluşmaktadır. Araştırma verileri Ebeveyn Suçluluğu Ölçeği (ESÖ) ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler normal dağılım varsayımını karşıladığından verilerin analizinde Bağımsız Örnekler T Testi ve Kruskal-Wallis/ANOVA F testleri kullanılmıştır. Anne ESÖ puanlarında anne öğrenim düzeyine, anne çalışma durumuna, çocuk bakım desteği alma durumuna göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşma olduğu görülmüştür. Baba ESÖ puanlarında çocuk bakım desteği alma durumuna göre istatiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşma olduğu belirlenmiştir. Anne ve baba ESÖ puanlarında ebeveynin medeni durumu, hane kişi sayısı, anne ve baba yaşı, baba öğrenim düzeyi çocuk sayısı ve cinsiyeti değişkenlerine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır.

AN INTERNAL STRUGGLE IN THE FAMILY: EXAMINING PARENTAL GUILT ACCORDING TO DEMOGRAPHIC VARIABLES

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the levels of parental guilt in families with preschool-aged children in relation to various demographic variables. The study group consists of 377 mothers and fathers whose children, aged between 48 and 72 months, attend a preschool institution. Data were collected using the Guilt About Parenting Scale (GAPS) and a Personal Information Form. As the data met the assumption of normal distribution, Independent Samples t-test and Kruskal-Wallis/ANOVA F tests were employed for the statistical analysis. The results showed that mothers' GAPS scores differed significantly according to their education level, employment status, and whether they received support in child care. Fathers' GAPS scores showed a statistically significant difference based on whether they received support in child care. No statistically significant differences were found in mothers’ and fathers’ GAPS scores according to marital status, household size, parental age, father's education level, number of children, or the child’s gender.
