Farklı Sıra Aralıklarında Yetiştirilen ve Depolanan Tef Bitkisine (Eragrostis tef [Zucc.] Trotter) Ait Tohumların Bazı Agronomik Özelliklerin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Tef, zengin içeriği ve glüten içermemesi sebebiyle insanların beslenme alışkanlıklarında gün geçtikçe kendisine yer edinmiştir. Bunun yanında hayvansal üretim yapan üreticiler içinde de alternatif bir yem kaynağı haline gelmiştir. 2019 yılında Bingöl Üniversitesi Tarımsal Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi arazisinde farklı sıra aralıklarında (10cm-20cm-30cm-40cm-50cm) üretimi gerçekleştirilen tef bitkisine ait tohumlar dört yıl boyunca kontrollü şartlar altında depolanmıştır. 2023 yılında Bingöl Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Biyosistem Mühendisliği ve Tarla Bitkileri Laboratuvarlarında kontrollü şartlar altında bu tohumların bazı agronomik özellikleri (uzunluk, genişlik, yüzey alan, aritmetik çap, geometrik çap, küresellik, bin tane ağırlığı) belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre tef tohumlarının uzun ve oval bir tohum yapısına sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca sıra aralıklarındaki farklılığın tef tohumlarının birbirleri arasında sayısal olarak anlamlı bir farka neden olmadığı saptanmıştır. Bu durum, tef tohumlarının agronomik özelliklerine sıra aralarındaki farkın etkisinin olmadığını göstermiştir.

Determination of Some Agronomic Characteristics of Seeds of Teff (Eragrostis tef [Zucc.] Trotter) Grown at Different Row Spacing and Stored

Abstract

Teff has gradually gained a place in people's eating habits due to its rich content and gluten-free nature. In addition, it has become an alternative feed source for producers engaged in animal production. In 2019, seeds of teff, which were produced at different row spacings (10cm-20cm-30cm-40cm-40cm-50cm) in Bingöl University Agricultural Application and Research Center land, were stored under controlled conditions for four years. In 2023, some agronomic characteristics (length, width, surface area, arithmetic diameter, geometric diameter, sphericity, sphericity, thousand grain weight) of these seeds were determined under controlled conditions in Bingöl University Faculty of Agriculture, Biosystem Engineering and Field Crops Laboratories. According to the results obtained, it was determined that teff seeds had a long and oval seed structure. It was also found that the difference in row spacing did not cause a significant numerical difference between the tef seeds. This showed that there was no effect of the difference between rows on the agronomic characteristics of teff seeds.
