Abstract

Aim The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of Illness Management Skills Training applied to individuals with schizophrenia. Method This study protocol describes a randomized controlled trial with a pretest-posttest control group. In this protocol, Standard Protocol Items: Recommendations for Interventional Trials (SPIRIT) Statement 2013 checklist and Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials-SPI (CONSORT-SPI) 2018 flowchart were used. Among a total of 110 individuals with schizophrenia, 50 individuals who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria will be randomly assigned to the intervention (25) and control (25) groups. In addition to routine outpatient clinic controls, the intervention group will receive Illness Management Skills Training in one session per week for 12 weeks, while the control group will continue their routine outpatient clinic controls without any intervention. Conclusion This protocol will test the effectiveness of Illness Management Skills Training in individuals with schizophrenia. The results will guide new interventions to be planned to improve illness management and recovery, engulfment and quality of life in individuals with schizophrenia. Trial Registration This protocol has been registered on ClinicalTrials. gov (NCT06883734)

Abstract

Amaç Bu çalışmanın amacı, şizofreni tanılı bireylere uygulanan Hastalık Yönetimi Beceri Eğitimi’nin etkinliğini incelemektir. Yöntem Bu çalışma protokolü, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu randomize kontrollü bir çalışmayı tanımlamaktadır. Bu protokolde Standard Protocol Items: Recommendations for Interventional Trials (SPIRIT) Statement 2013 kontrol listesi ve Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials-SPI (CONSORT-SPI) 2018 akış şeması kullanılmıştır. Deneme Kaydı: Bu protokol ClinicalTrials.gov’a kaydedilmiştir (NCT06883734).
