Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Fen Bilimleri öğretmenlerinin sosyal adalet ve eşitlik kavramlarına ilişkin düşüncelerini belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntem olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu amaçla, geliştirilmiş olan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile öğretmenlere sosyal adalet ve eşitlik kavramlarına ilişkin olarak altı soru yöneltilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında Türkiye’nin yedi bölgesinin her birinden iki fen bilimleri öğretmeni olmak üzere toplam 14 öğretmen ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde nitel araştırma analiz tekniklerinden içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere göre Fen Bilimleri öğretmenlerinin %92.86’sı Türkiye’de Fen Bilimleri dersi kapsamında sosyal adaletin olmadığını ve öğretmenlerin tamamı dersin öğretimi kapsamında eşitlik olmadığı görüşünü ortaya koymuşlardır. Fen bilimleri eğitiminde sosyal adalet ve fırsat eşitliği kavramları ile ilgili olarak öğretmenlere lisans eğitimleri sırasında bu kapsamda dersler verilmesi öneriler arasında yer almaktadır.
