ZİHİN YETERSİZLİĞİ OLAN BİREYLERİN İŞ YAŞAMINA GEÇİŞ SÜRECİNE İLİŞKİN ÖĞRETMENLERİN VE OKUL YÖNETİCİLERİNİN GÖRÜŞLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı,
zihin yetersizliği olan bireylerin iş yaşamına geçiş sürecinde öğretmen ve okul
yöneticilerinin bildiklerini, bu süreçte yaptıklarını, sorumluluklarını,
karşılaştıkları sorunları ve çözüm önerilerini belirlemektir. Araştırma verileri,
2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında Bolu ve Düzce il merkezlerindeki Özel Eğitim
İş Uygulama Merkezleri ve Özel Eğitim Mesleki Eğitim Merkezlerinde görev yapan
17 meslek öğretmeni ve 10 okul yöneticisinden toplanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel
araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış
görüşme soruları ve kontrol listesinden elde edilen verilerin
karşılaştırılmasıyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, zihin yetersizliği
olan bireylerin eğitim aldıkları okullarda görev yapan meslek öğretmenleri ve
okul yöneticilerinin geçiş, geçiş hizmet planı ile ilgili bilgilerinin
olmadığı, bu konuda herhangi bir çalışma yapmadıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Öğretmen ve okul yöneticilerinin, iş yaşamına geçişin sağlanamaması, mesleki
uygulamanın (staj)gerçekleştirilememesi, materyal eksikliği, işbirliği
yapılamaması gibi sorunlarla karşılaştıkları bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. Elde
edilen bulgular ilgili literatür kapsamında tartışılmış, zihin yetersizliği
olan bireylerin iş yaşamına geçişinde bireyselleştirilmiş geçiş hizmet
planlarının hazırlanması gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
