The aim of the research is to put forward perceptions of principals on supervisors’role
of supervision in primary education teachers’training at work. The population of the research
is formed of 162 principals working in 98 independent official primary schools in the county of
Duzce. Sampling principals consists of the population overall 61 principals working at primary
schools determined by Simple Random Sampling. The matters of the public survey were
‘’Likert’’type and the evaluation was made according to the five-fold scale.The research is a
quantitative and survey research. To collect the data, the public survey prepared by the
researchers and consisting of 35 matters was used. The matters of the public survey were

after having been applied to the principals was analysed with percentage, frequence, medium,
standard deviation, t-test, Single-sided Variance Analysis.
According to the perceptions of principles, the supervisors in primary education show
efforts to guide the teachers in the work environment, but it can not be said that these efforts are
enough. There are no significant differences found based on years in work, education level and

Bu araþtýrmanýn amacý; ilköðretim kurumlarýnda görevli öðretmenlerin iþbaþýnda yetiþmelerinde, müfettiþlerin denetim rolüne iliþkin Ýlköðretim Okulu Yöneticilerinin algýlarýný ortaya koymaktýr. Araþtýrmanýn evrenini Düzce il genelinde 98 baðýmsýz sýnýflý resmi ilköðretim okulunda görev yapan 162 okul yöneticisi oluþturmaktadýr. Araþtýrma örneklemi ise evrenden “Basit Tesadüfî Örnekleme” yöntemiyle belirlenen 61 yöneticiden oluþmaktadýr. Araþtýrma nicel ve betimsel bir araþtýrmadýr. Araþtýrmada; verileri toplamak için araþtýrmacýlar tarafýndan geliþtirilen ve 35 sorudan oluþan bir anket kullanýlmýþtýr. Kullanýlan anketin maddeleri “Likert” tipi olup, deðerlendirme beþli skala üzerinden yapýlmýþtýr. Anketin yöneticilere uygulanmasý sonucu elde edilen veriler yüzde, frekans, ortalama, standart sapma, t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi ile çözümlenmiþtir. Yönetici algýlarýna göre ilköðretim müfettiþlerinin öðretmenlerin iþbaþýnda yetiþtirilmesi için kýsmen de olsa çaba gösterdikleri, fakat yeterince katkýda bulunduklarý söylenemez. Yönetici algýlarýnda hizmet yýlý, öðrenim seviyesi ve cinsiyet deðiþkenlerine göre anlamlý bir fark yoktur
