Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Bilim ve Sanat Merkezinde (BİLSEM) üstün yetenekli öğrencilere eğitim veren öğretmenlerin program geliştirme ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasına yönelik olarak hazırlanan ve
uygulanan hizmet içi öğretim programının değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Ankara Bilim ve Sanat Merkezindeki 12 öğretmenle yürütülen bu araştırmada tek grup öntest-sontest deseni kullanılmıştır. Veriler erişi testi ve görüşme yardımıyla elde edilmiştir. Öntest-sontest puanlarının grup içi karşılaştırılmasının yapılabilmesi amacıyla “İlişkili ölçümler için Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi” kullanılmıştır. Görüşme verileri için betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin ön test ve son test puan ortalamaları arasında son test lehine anlamlı düzeyde fark olduğu belirlenmiştir. Görüşmelerden elde edilen bulgulara göre, öğretmenlere verilen bu eğitimin yararlı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM DEVELOPED ON THE BASIS OF THE NEEDS OF THE TEACHERS OF SCIENCE AND ART CENTERS IN THE AREA OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the curricular needs of the teachers who work with gifted children in Science and Art Centers and to assess the effectiveness of the in-service training program developed and implemented regarding those needs. The study is conducted on 12 participants employed in Ankara Science and Art Center, and one sample pre-test and post-test design was employed. Data were collected through interviews and achievement test. “Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test for Paired Samples” is applied for in-group comparison of pre-test and post-test points. Descriptive analyze technique was used for the data collected through interviews. A significant difference was observed in favour of post-test point averages of the participants at the
end of the study. According to the findings of the interviews, the in-service training was determined to be useful.
