ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ÖLÇME VE DEĞERLENDİRMEYE YÖNELİK YETERLİK ALGILARININ İNCELENMESİ (KAFKAS ÜNİVERSİTESİ ÖRNEĞİ)
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Kafkas Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının ölçme ve değerlendirmeye yönelik yeterlik algılarını ve bu algıların çeşitli değişkenler bakımından farklılık gösterip göstermediğini tespit etmektir. Tarama araştırma modelinde yürütülen çalışmada öğretmen adaylarının ölçme ve değerlendirmeye yönelik yeterlik algılarının belirlenmesinde Nartgün (2008) tarafından geliştirilen, “Ölçme ve Değerlendirme Genel Yeterlik Algısı Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2014-2015 bahar döneminde Kafkas Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 413 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular sonucunda; öğretmen adaylarının ölçme ve değerlendirmeye yönelik yeterlik algılarının temel kavramlar alt boyutunda “yeterli”, ölçme teknikleri alt boyutunda “orta düzeyde yeterli” ve istatistiksel çözümleme ve raporlaştırma alt boyutunda “orta düzeyde yeterli” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının ölçme ve değerlendirmeye yönelik yeterlik algıları üzerinde değişkenlerin (cinsiyet, bölüm, program türleri ve yaş) anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.
THE ANALYSIS OF TEACHER CANDIDATES’COMPETENCY PERCEPTIONS TOWARD MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT (EXAMPLE OF KAFKAS UNIVERSTY)
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine competency perceptions of teacher candidates studying at Kafkas University toward measurement and assessment and to identify whether these perceptions differ in terms of various variables or not. In the study sustained in the survey research model “Measurement and Assessment General Competency Perception Scale” developed by Nartgün (2008) is used to determine competency perceptions of teacher candidates toward measurement and assessment. The working group of the research consists of 413 teacher candidates studying at Kafkas University during the spring semester of 2014-2015 academic year. As a result of the findings obtained of the research, competency perceptions toward measurement and assessment of teacher candidates have been determined under the “basic concepts” subscale as ‘sufficient’, under the “measurement techniques” subscale as ‘moderately sufficient’, under the “statistical analysis and reporting” subscale as ‘moderately sufficient’. Besides, it has been revealed that the variables (gender, department, type of program and age) don’t have meaningful effect on competency perceptions of teacher candidates toward measurement and evaluation in the research.
