1. General Information and Scope

• Publication Frequency: Aksaray Journal of Communication is a national and international peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes qualified research in communication sciences. It is published biannually, in January and July. Accepted articles are made available as PDFs on the journal's official website.
• Publication Languages: The primary languages are Turkish and English. Submissions in German, Russian, Arabic, Persian, and French are subject to Editorial Board approval.
• Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or concurrently under review elsewhere. Papers presented at conferences/symposiums or studies derived from master's/doctoral theses are eligible for consideration, provided this is explicitly disclosed.
• Author Responsibility: The legal, ethical, and academic responsibility for the content, including source accuracy, originality, and views expressed, rests entirely with the author(s).

2. Peer Review Process (Double-Blind)

• Screening & Review: Submissions undergo an initial editorial pre-evaluation by the Editorial Board, followed by evaluation by at least two independent referees. Publication is subject to positive reports from the reviewers. All stages of the review are communicated to authors online via the DergiPark system.
• Anonymity: To ensure a double-blind review process, initial submissions must contain no author names, affiliations, or identifying details.

3. Ethical Rules and Declarations

• Ethics Committee Approval: Mandatory for all studies involving human participants (surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.). The official approval certificate must be uploaded to the system, and ethical details (committee name, date, and protocol/approval number) must be explicitly stated in the manuscript.
• Author Contribution & Conflict of Interest: Individual contributions of all authors must be specified. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed; if none exist, the statement "The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest." must be included.
• Use of Generative AI: Any use of generative artificial intelligence or AI-assisted tools during the writing process must be disclosed. These tools may only be utilized for language editing, proofreading, or technical enhancement. Authors retain full responsibility for the manuscript's integrity, accuracy, and originality.

4. Manuscript Formatting and Preparation

• Template & Font: Manuscripts must be prepared using MS Word and the official Journal Article Template, set in Century Gothic font.
• Page Layout: Standard A4 format with 2.5 cm margins on all four sides (top, bottom, left, right), 12 pt line spacing, and an extra 0.6 pt paragraph spacing after paragraphs.
• Word Limit: The total manuscript length—including abstracts, tables, figures, and references—must not exceed 8,000 words.
• Title & Author Information:
  • The article title should be placed at the top of the first page: 12 pt, bold, centered, with title case capitalization (first letters capitalized).

5. Submission Procedure

• Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively online via the official DergiPark portal: https://dergipark.org.tr/aid.
