- Open access articles in Akdeniz Journal of Communication Studies are licensed as Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).
- The Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license allows the work to be shared, copied, reproduced, and adapted, including rearrangement, transformation, and building upon, in any size and format, except for commercial use, provided that the original work is properly cited.
- The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.

The CC BY-NC 4.0 license provides freedom in the following areas:

Licensing History
For articles published from Issue 41 to Issue 47 (covering the period 20 May 2023 – 31 December 2024), the Journal applied the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows others to download and share the articles for non-commercial purposes as long as they credit the authors. However, changes and commercial uses are not permitted. As of 1 January 2025, beginning with Issue 48 and onwards, the Journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This license allows others to remix, adapt, and build upon the work for non-commercial purposes, provided they credit the authors and indicate if changes were made.
