Sidharth Verma, a research scholar at the Centre of Excellence in Disaster Management at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, India, has a strong academic and professional background in disaster risk reduction, climate change, new media, communication, and sustainable development, with a keen focus on interdisciplinary research in disaster governance, environmental communication, gender, and resilience building. He has contributed extensively through teaching, including as a Teaching Assistant in MOOCs courses on Society and Media, modules on Gender, Rights, and Society; Understanding Margins and Marginalities; and Media and Rights. He is also writing modules on Street Theatre, Puppetry, and Social Inclusion for the Online Distance Learning Programme of Mass Communication at GGSIPU.
Sidharth has presented research on national and international platforms, including Marmara University, Turkiye; the University of Florida; IIT Roorkee; Jawaharlal Nehru University; Delhi University; Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore and Amravati Campus; Himachal Pradesh University; Berhampur University; and GGSIPU.
Sidharth has been invited as a panelist in the International Conference cum Conclave on Generations, Technology, Society, Spaces, Screens organised by the PG Department of Journalism and Communication, DG Vaishnav College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India in collaboration with Indian Communication Congress (ICC) and the resource person in the Annual Learning and Planning Workshop by the Integrated Centre for Adaptation, DRR & Sustainability (ICARS), IIT Roorkee; Sphere India; HCL Foundation; and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and as a key resource person in the Three-Day National Student Development Programme on “Personality, Employment, and Skill Development” organized by the Faculty of Commerce and Research Studies, Swami Sukhdevanand Post Graduate College, Shahjahanpur, UP.
