TÜRKİYE’DE ENERJİ YATIRIM TEŞVİKLERİNİN ETKİNLİĞİ: TODA-YAMAMOTO YAKLAŞIMI

Abstract

Türkiye gibi enerjide dışa bağımlılığı yüksek olan ülkelerde enerji yatırımları büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu tip ülkelerde enerji yatırımları ve teşvik politikaları yenilenebilir enerji üzerinde yoğunlaşmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de enerji yatırım teşviklerinin etkinliğini ampirik olarak analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla Türkiye’de 2005-2017 döneminde aylık verilerle enerji yatırım teşvikleri ile enerji üretimi arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Kullanılan Toda-Yamamoto nedensellik analizi sonucunda enerji teşviklerinden enerji üretimine doğru tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgu Türkiye’de ele alınan dönemde enerji teşviklerinin enerji üretimini artırmaya katkı sağladığı dolayısıyla teşvik politikalarının etkin olduğu anlamını taşımaktadır.
