Yaşlı Hastada Prostatik Aspergilloz

Öz

Aspergilloz, Aspergillus mantar enfeksiyonundan kaynaklanan farklı hastalıklardan oluşmaktadır. Fırsatçı bir enfeksiyon olup bildirilmiş olguların bazıları immünsuprese iken diğerleri transplant yapılmış hastalardır. Prostatta fungal enfeksiyon çok sık rastlanan bir durum değildir. Günümüze kadar çok az sayıda prostatta izlenen aspergilloz olgusu bildirilmiştir. Bildirilen bu olguların ortak özelliği bağışıklık sistemini baskılayıcı çeşitli altta yatan etkenlerin varlığıdır. Biz burada 80 yaşında altta yatan hastalığı bulunmayan bir hastada tespit edilen prostatik aspergilloz olgusunu tartıştık. Doğru tanı hastalığın ölümcül potansiyeli olmasından dolayı önemlidir

Prostatic Aspergillosis in an Elderly Patient

Abstract

Aspergillosis is a variety of diseases caused by infection with the fungi Aspergillus. It is an opportunistic infection and some of the reported cases have been immunocompromised while the others were transplant patients. Fungal infection of the prostate is not a very common condition. A small number of aspergillosis cases arising in the prostate have been reported previously. The common feature of these reported cases is the existence of various underlying factors suppressing the immune system. Here we discuss a prostatic aspergillosis case detected in an 80-year-old patient with no underlying disease. Accurate diagnosis is important because of the fatal potential of the disease
