Kulak Burun Boğaz Polikliniğine Başvuran Bireylerin Tıkayıcı Uyku Apne Sendromu ile İlgili Bilgi Düzeyleri

Abstract

Amaç: Tıkayıcı Uyku Apnesi Sendromu ile ilgili bireylerin bilgi düzeyini ölçmek için bir anket geliştirilmesi ve sağlık çalışanı olmayan bireylerin bilgi düzeylerinin ölçülmesi.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tıkayıcı uyku apnesi sendromu ile ilgili bilgi düzeyini ölçmeyi amaçlayan tarafımızca geliştirilmiş olan bir anket, Kulak Burun Boğaz polikliniğine başvuran bireylere uygulandı. Her bireye uygulanan anketin doğru cevaplarının, tüm sorulara oranı yüzde olarak hesaplandı ve doğru cevap verme yüzdesi elde edildi. Ankete katılan bireylerin doğru cevap yüzdesi ortalamaları; cinsiyet, yaş grupları, ve eğitim düzeyine göre hesaplandı. Gruplar arasında doğru cevap verme yüzdesi ortalamaları arasındaki farklar araştırıldı.Bulgular: Erkek ve kadın grupları doğru cevap verme yüzdesi ortalamaları sırası ile 56,13±22,35 ve 59,02±25,24 idi, fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı saptanmadı p=0,307 . Otuz yaş altı, 30-40 yaş, 40-50 yaş, 50-60 yaş ve 60 yaş üstü grupları doğru cevap verme yüzdesi ortalamaları sırası ile, 59,28±15,42, 61,66±22, 57,22±27,63, 58,68±21,7 ve 48,82±23,15 idi, gruplar arasında fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı saptanmadı p=0,583 . Ortaokul ve altı, lise, yükseköğretim ve üstü grupları doğru cevap verme yüzdesi ortalamaları sırası ile, 45,38±23,32, 62,4±16,6 ve 74,68±21,24 idi, gruplar arasında fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı saptandı p

Knowledge Levels of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome of Individuals Admitted to Ear Nose Throat Clinic

Abstract

Objective: To develop a questionnaire to assess the level of knowledge of non-health workers on the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.Material and Methods: A questionnaire developed by us aiming to assess the level of knowledge about obstructive sleep apnea syndrome was administered to individuals who presented at the ear nose throat clinic. The ratio of correct answers to all answers was calculated as a percentage and the correct answer percentage was obtained. The mean percentage of correct answers of the individuals was calculated according to gender, age groups, and education level. Differences between the percentage of correct answers among the groups were investigated.Results: The mean percentages of correct answers in the male and female groups were 56.13±22.35 and 59.02 ± 25.24 respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant p=0.307 . The mean correct answer percentage of the below 30 years, 30-40 years, 40-50 years, 50-60 years and over 60 years groups were 59.28±15.42, 61.66±22, 57.22±27.63, 58.68±21.7 and 48.82±23.15 respectively, and difference was not statistically significant p=0.583 .
