Pars Plana Vitrektomi Uygulanan Olguların Etiyolojik Dağılımları

Abstract

Amaç: Kliniğimizde pars plana vitrektomi PPV uyguladığımız olguların etiyolojik dağılımlarını değerlendirmek.Gereç ve Yöntemler: İnönü Üniversitesi Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı’nda Ocak 2014-Aralık 2018 tarihleri arasında PPV ameliyatı uygulanan hastaların dosyaları retrospektif olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Hastaların yaşı, cinsiyeti, ek cerrahi girişimler, primer ve rekürren PPV endikasyonları kaydedilmiştir.Bulgular: Dört yüz yirmisi %56 erkek, 330’u %44 kadın olan 750 hastanın 813 gözü çalışmaya dahil edildi. Olguların yaş ortalaması 57,17±17,05 yıldı. PPV en sık yırtıklı retina dekolmanı YRD %36,5 ve proliferatif diyabetik retinopati PDR %31,6 nedeniyle uygulanmıştı. Yüz on sekiz gözde revizyon PPV uygulanmıştı ve nüks retina dekolmanı %76,3 en sık revizyon PPV nedeniydi. Nüks retina dekolmanı en sık gözlerin %50,9’unda yırtıklı retina dekolmanı ve %12,7’sinde ise PDR komplikasyonları nedeniyle gelişmişti. Çalışmaya dahil edilen gözlerin %19,8’inde vitre kanaması ve/veya traksiyonel membranlar, %9,7’sinde traksiyonel retina dekolmanı ve %2,1’inde ise epiretinal mebran gibi PDR komplikasyonları nedeniyle vitreoretinal cerrahi uygulanmıştı. Sonuç: Yırtıklı retina dekolmanı ve proliferatif diyabetik retinopati en sık PPV endikasyonlarını oluştururken, en sık revizyon PPV nedeni ise nüks retina dekolmanıdır

Etiologic Distribution of the Cases Who Underwent Pars Plana Vitrectomy

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the etiologic distribution of the cases who underwent pars plana vitrectomy PPV at our clinic.Material and Methods: The files of the patients that underwent PPV surgery between January 2014 and December 2018 at the Department of Ophthalmology of İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center were evaluated retrospectively. Patients' age, sex, additional surgical interventions, and the primary and recurrent PPV indications were recorded.Results: The 813 eyes of 750 patients consisting of 420 males 56% and 330 females 44% were included in the study. The mean age of the cases was 57.17 ± 17.05 years. PPV had been performed most commonly due to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment RRD 36.5% and proliferative diabetic retinopathy PDR 31.6% . Revision PPV was performed in 118 eyes and recurrent retinal detachment 76.3% was the most common indication. Recurrent retinal detachment occurred most commonly due to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in 50.9% of the eyes and PDR complications in 12.7% of the eyes. Vitreoretinal surgery was performed due to PDR complications such as vitreous hemorrhage and/or tractional membranes in 19.8%, tractional retinal detachment in 9.7%, and epiretinal membrane in 2.1% of the eyes included in this study. Conclusion: Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and proliferative diabetic retinopathy were the most common indications for PPV, while the most common indication for revision PPV was recurrent retinal detachment
