Abstract

Abstract

Winging scapula (WS) is one of the disorders of the scapulothoracic region, in which the medial edge or the inferior corner of the scapula is displaced away from the posterior chest wall. Although it is rare, it is an important cause of the restriction of upper extremity functions. WS which can be classified as primary and secondary, manifests itself as shoulder pain, loss of function and strength, deformity in the shoulder. It can be diagnosed by imaging and electrodiagnostic tests after detailed physical examination. Here, a 20-year-old male patient who has been exercising intensely for a long time and was diagnosed with WS due to pain and deformity in the right shoulder after weight lifting is presented
