The study outlines the features of the diary genre, highlighting its individual and internal aspects. Furthermore, it delves into the historical origins of the diary, its place, and its significance in literature. To achieve these objectives, the study employs a basic qualitative research design, utilizing the source scanning technique for data collection and applying the document analysis method for data examination. The research emphasizes the necessity of incorporating texts and activities suitable for the diary genre into Turkish textbooks to enhance students' writing skills and expand their vocabulary.
