Yeni Jenerasyon Gazetecilerin Eğitimi: Moodle’dan Facebook’a

Abstract

Gazetecilerin eğitiminde sosyal medya araçları, toplumun yaşadığı gerçekliğin –yalnızca teknolojiyle birlikte yaşayan değil, adeta teknolojinin içinde yaşayan- bir yansıması olarak yoğun olarak kullanılmaya başlamıştır. Bizim bu çalışmada tanımladığımız ve hala devam etmekte olan eylem araştırma projesi, “yeni jenerasyon gazetecileri, teknoloji aracılı toplumsal bağlama dayanan yenilikçi öğrenme deneyimlerini keşfederek nasıl eğitebiliriz?” sorusuna yanıt bulmaya çalışmaktadır. Şu ana dek toplanan verilerin analizi, öğrencilerin öğrenme deneyimindeki artan motivasyon ve katılımını, mesleğin gerçeğiyle yakın bağlantılarını ve öğrencilerin gazetecilik alanında kişisel yeteneklerinin iyileştiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Projenin son transferi olan Facebook ise bir dış görünürlük ve ayrıca akademik dünyanın dışındaki gazetecilik profesyonelleriyle bağlantı olanağı sunmaktadır
