Abstract
Tales are a fascinating writing and narrative genre that has managed to attract the attention of almost everyone. They are usually told without specifying the place and time, and they were all created with the aim of giving advice at the end which we found something in ourselves. There are many famous fairy tale writers from the past to the present. One of them is, a Danish, Hans Christian Andersen; the author of the fairy tales called Andersen Tales, which have been admired and read since 1985. These tales written by the world-famous fairy tale writer at the beginning of the 19th century; Despite the passing years, reading rates have rapidly increased and spread globally.These tales have become so universal that important works in many branches have been produced about them by many artists. Looking at these works in general; As applications were made in the field of performing arts such as various films, musicals, and ballet performances etc. important works were brought to the art world by dealing with this theme in plastic arts and contemporary ceramic art. In this study; It has been observed how Andersen Tales affect contemporary art, and some works made in different disciplines are examined. Furthermore, its effects on the contemporary ceramic art and industry were mentioned, and selected works from some artists working on the subject were exemplified. In line with the examinations made at the end of the research, the researcher made several original ceramic designs in the light of the determined theme and produced one of his designs.
