Abstract
Proverbs are important language elements in terms of the point of view, the perception of the life and arranging them of the societies that make up it. These word structures, which are the product of thousands of years of experience, are the reflections of highly concentrated knowledge. Undoubtedly, there are similar proverbs in different cultures and societies. In one aspect, these language units are mostly shaped by the influence of the material and spiritual cultural elements of the societies that put it forward. Having intense meanings of proverbs is perhaps their most primary function; however, proverbs also have external structures depending on their form. When it comes to form, the thing that comes to the fore is sound harmony. Undoubtedly, it is a fact that the utterance and arrangement of the word is also important at the point of making the meaning of the word more effective and striking. It is known that especially verse texts have a very impressive aspect on the addressee compared to prose texts. Therefore, it is important to determine this aspect of proverbs. In this study, depending on the harmonies in the proverbs, besides the known classical rhyming forms, other phonetic harmonies will be emphasized.
