Fakhr al-Dîn al-Râzî’s Some Views on Logic in Case of “Risâlah fî al-Mantiq”

Abstract

In this article will be examined
"Risâlah fi al-Mantiq", probably one of early works of Fakhr al-Dîn al-Râzî.
The only known manuscript copy of this treatise is kept at Laleli Library 3774
(ff. 26-71) and its edition critics will be presented in appendix.

This treatise, which is not mentioned in
classical sources, has been copyrighted differently and less systematically;
and has been classified under titles such as “muqaddimah”, “tasavvur”, “tasdiq”
and “hudjat”.

In terms of the extension of the syllogism and
especially the modality theme this work resembles “al-Mantiq al-Kebir”. Likewise,
the views on several subjects such as the self-evidences of knowledge and the conversion
of proposals, coincide with the mentioned work. Opinions on the relationship of
concepts (taṣawwurāt) and assents (taṣdīqāt) are compatible with the
"Mulakhas" and “Sharhu al-Isharât”.

The work which is devoid on the categories
and five syllogistic arts ends with the comparison.

“RİSÂLE Fİ’L-MANTIK” BAĞLAMINDA FAHREDDÎN ER-RÂZÎ’NİN MANTIĞA DAİR BAZI GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract

Bu makalede Fahreddîn er-Râzî’nin muhtemelen erken dönem
eserlerinden biri olan “Risâle fi’l-Mantık” adlı eseri incelenecektir. Lâleli
Kütüphanesi 3774 numarada bulunan mecmuanın 26-71.varaklarında bulunan ve tek
nüshası olan risalenin tahkiki ekte sunulmuştur.

Klasik kaynaklarda zikredilmeyen risale, diğer eserlerden farkı
olarak ve çok da sistemli olmayan bir şekilde telif edilmiş; mukaddime,
tasavvur, tasdik ve hüccet gibi başlıklar altında tasnif edilmiştir.

Kıyas ve özellikle kipler bahsinin uzatılması nedeniyle el-Mantıku’l-Kebîr’e
benzemektedir. Yine ilmin bedihiliği ve önemelerin döndürülmesi gibi meselelerdeki
görüşler, aynı eser ile örtüşmektedir. Tasavvur-tasdik ilişkisine dair
görüşler, Mülahhas ve İşârât Şerhi ile uyumludur. Örfiyye ve
zorunluluk kipinin tanımı da müellifin diğer eserleri ile aynı bağlamda ele
alınmıştır.

Risalede kategoriler bahsi ve beş sanat olmayan eser, kıyas bahsi
ile sona ermektedir.
