Abstract
In Turkish culture; Stones used for faith, functional and charitable purposes are indispensable building materials encountered at every stage of life for architectural purposes. Although it is used especially in historical social structures, it has an important place in prayer and protection depending on faith. In addition to these, the stones are used in many places in order to make life easier and spiritually reflect the value that Turkish people attach to hospitality. There are many practices and beliefs related to the stone which are not encountered in other places in Malatya region. In this study, we will focus on the guest stones in the Toptaş Mosque of the Battalgazi district of Malatya and in the Selamlı village of Arapgir, which have not been found elsewhere. the relationship between these stones and Turkish hospitality will be explained.
