Transported Education Application in Pazarcık According to the Views of the Managers, Teachers, Students and Parents
Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the Transported Education Application in Pazarcık within the framework of the opinions of the managers, teachers, students and parents. For this purpose, 47 participants who are the stakeholders of the transportation center schools in the district constitute the study group of the research. The research was conducted in the second semester of the 2016-17 academic year. Semi-structured interview form was applied to the participants in the research. The research was designed in case study pattern from qualitative research designs and the findings were analyzed by content analysis method. The results found from the research were that transported education leads to psychological and/or physiological disturbances in some students; that the relationship and communication between the transported students and the other students are somewhat lower than that of the teacher-student relationship and communication; the communication with parents was limited; the nutrition and transportation services were found to be problem free and positive; the lack of attendance was not due to being transported; being transported partially negatively affects participation in activities; being transported negatively affects academic success and the transported student did not have a negative attitude towards his friends, teachers and administrators.
