It is widely claimed in society that public investments in 23 provinces in Turkey’s Eastern Anatolia Region and South-eastern Anatolia Region are far less than provinces in other regions of Turkey. This claim is generally used by sympathizers and members of certain terrorist organization to affect public and make propaganda. However, what is the real situation? Have governments of Turkey disregarded economically Eastern Anatolia Region and South-eastern Anatolia Region? It can be understandable via analyzing distribution of public investment according to provinces in Turkey. In this study, it is compared that 23 provinces in Eastern Anatolia Region and South-eastern Anatolia Region with the rest provinces in Turkey according to public investments data in last nineteen years -between 1999-2017-. As a result, distributions of public investments in provinces in Eastern Anatolia Region and South-eastern Anatolia Region are rationally similar with provinces’ in other regions.
