About
ALAN – Journal of Art and Design is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Balıkesir University, Faculty of Fine Arts. The journal publishes original scholarly and artistic studies in the fields of art and design. Its scope includes plastic arts, visual arts, printmaking, painting, sculpture, graphic design, art education, art theory, art history, interdisciplinary art practices, and contemporary art studies.
The publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. The journal adopts an open access policy and is published biannually, in June and December. A double-blind peer review process is applied, and all editorial and publication processes are conducted through DergiPark.
