MÖ 2. BİNYILDA DOĞU AKDENİZ İLE EGE ARASINDAKİ KÜLTÜREL İLİŞKİLER: NUZİ SERAMİĞI ÜZERİNE DEĞERLENDİRMELER

Abstract

Doğu Akdeniz ve Yukarı Mezopotamya’da Geç Tunç Çağı boyunca görülen Nuzi seramiği, üzerinde yer alan zengin bezeme içeriği ile Ege dünyasında bilinen Kamares seramiği ile önemli benzerlikler göstermektedir. Özellikle Nuzi seramiğinin batıdaki yayılım coğrafyasında bulunan örneklerde görülen papirüs ve çift ağızlı balta gibi simgesel motiflerin Ege kültürlerinde de sıkılıkla kullanılması dikkat çekicidir. Benzer motiflerin yanı sıra koyu zemin üzerine açık boyama tekniğinin kullanımında da benzerlikler söz konusudur. Her iki seramik grubu, farklı dönem ve coğrafyalarda yayılım göstermelerine karşın, aralarındaki muhtemel bağlantı kültürler arasındaki etkileşim tartışmalarını da beraberinde getirirken, MÖ 2. binyılda Akdeniz Havzasında gerçekleşen denizsel bağlantı faaliyetlerinin kültürler üzerindeki etkilerini anlamamıza olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Nuzi seramiği üzerinde görülen Ege etkilerinin, iki bölge arasındaki etkileşim sonucu olarak ortaya çıktığı savunulmaktadır.
