DEVELOPING THE PREMARITAL EDUCATION PROGRAM AND EVALUATION OF ITS RESULTS (ERZİNCAN CASE)

Abstract

The aim of this research is to apply the premarital education program prepared by the researcher to young adult university students and to determine the effectiveness of the results. For this purpose, the relevant literature was searched and a 14-week training curriculum was prepared. The study group was determined by random sampling method. 104 single university students, consisting of male and female participants, participated in the research. The research was designed in an experimental design. In the first week of the 14-week training, the Marriage Attitude Scale, Conflict Resolution Styles in Romantic Relationships, Marriage Maturity Scale and Marriage Expectation Scale were applied to the study group after obtaining necessary permissions. After the training was completed, the same scales were reapplied and the success of the study was evaluated by looking at the difference between the pretest and the posttest. The data of the pre-test and post-test results were analyzed with the SPSS 22 package program. The analysis of data showing normal distribution was analyzed with dependent groups t-test, and the analysis of data not showing normal distribution was analyzed with Wilcoxon signed-rank test. As a result of the research, it was determined that premarital education had positive effects on marital maturity level, conflict resolution skills in romantic relationships and marital expectation levels. However, it was observed that the education program did not have a significant effect on the level of marriage attitude.

EVLİLİK ÖNCESİ EĞİTİM PROGRAMININ GELİŞTİRİLMESİ VE SONUÇLARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ (ERZİNCAN ÖRNEĞİ)

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanmış olan evlilik öncesi eğitim programının genç yetişkin üniversite öğrencilerine uygulanması ve sonuçların etkinlik düzeyinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amaçla ilgili literatür taranmış ve 14 hafta sürecek olan bir eğitim müfredatı hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu tesadüfi örneklem yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya kadın ve erkek katılımcılardan oluşan 104 bekâr üniversite öğrencisi katılmıştır. Araştırma deneysel desende tasarlanmıştır. 14 hafta süren eğitimin birinci haftasında çalışma grubuna Evlilik Tutum Ölçeği, Romantik İlişkilerde Çatışma Çözme Stilleri Ölçeği, Evlilik Olgunluk Ölçeği ve Evlilik Beklenti Ölçeği gerekli izinler alınarak uygulanmıştır. Eğitim tamamlandıktan sonra aynı ölçekler yeniden uygulanmış ve ön test ile son test arasındaki farka bakılarak çalışmanın başarısı değerlendirilmiştir. Ön test ve son test sonuçlarının verileri SPSS 22 paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Normal dağılım özelliği gösteren verilerin analizi bağımlı gruplar t testi ile normal dağılım özelliği göstermeyen verilerin analizi ise Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda evlilik öncesi eğitimin, evlilik olgunluk düzeyi, romantik ilişkilerde çatışma çözme becerileri ve evlilik beklenti düzeyleri üzerinde olumlu etkilerinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Fakat eğitim programının evlilik tutum düzeyine anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı gözlenmiştir.
