Plato, one of the famous philosophers of ancient Greek, draws attention
to his democracy. Democracy, which has been given great efforts to obtain our
revolution, comes out as a distorted form of government in Plato’s political
strategy. While the basic principle of democracy is freedoom, progressive democracy,
which transcends the boundaries of freedom in social life, becomes
a cause of so called equality. Thus, the form of state which causes political
collapse brings a human figurine which is fond of freedom and sees the social
order as an obstacle to itself. This type of man come face to face with attitudes
that go back and forth between individualitiy, variable decisions, equality and
inequality, when all pleasures can be satisfied at will. What is the cause of Plato’
hostility to democracy? In order to find and answer to this question, it is necessary
to address Plato’s ideas based on the problems of the time.
